What kind of guy asks his girlfriend for permission to go to a strip club? Answer: The whipped kind.

Actor Zac Efron told Jimmy Kimmel that he asked Vanessa Hudgens if it was okay for him to go to Flashdancers Gentleman's Club in NYC.

"The hardest thing was calling your girlfriend before. How do you even start that conversation without feeling like a total a**hole?" Efron asked. "She was fine with it."

He denied rumors that he spent two-grand on the strippers that night.

"I had this image of what it'd be like. I've heard a lot about these places, mostly from rap music -- they're supposed to be pretty reputable! So I envisioned myself in a nice couch with 'stunna shades' with T-Pain and Usher making it rain money. And it just wasn't like that."

See, that's the problem with white suburban kids listening to gangsta rap music: Disillusionment when they find out the 'hood isn't as glamorous as they heard. Gimme a break. Can this kid seem any less cool?

In his defense, the guy did have a little swagger in explaining that he called his chick before going into the strip club so he wouldn't have to talk to her after he was inside (and presumably had his face buried between the boobies of a single mom).

Hell, dude. When your girlfriend looks like Vanessa Hudgens, save the cash and avoid the paparazzi -- stay home and let HER do a striptease for ya! Even I'VE even seen her naked! Nice...
